How it works
- Pick a difficulty — Easy, Medium, or Hard — from the dropdown above the board.
- Words spawn at the top and fall toward the bottom. Type one exactly, in the input box below the board, to clear it — no need to press Enter.
- Each cleared word scores points equal to its letter count times 10, and your level rises every 100 points.
- Letting a word reach the bottom costs a life. Lose all three lives and the run ends — press New Game (or the reset button) to try again.
Scoring and difficulty
Points for a cleared word are its length times 10 — a five-letter word like "storm" is worth
50 points. Your level is 1 + floor(score ÷ 100),
and each level adds 10 px/sec to the fall speed and trims the spawn interval, so the board keeps getting busier the longer you survive.

FAQ
How do the difficulty levels change the game?
Easy, Medium, and Hard set the starting fall speed and how often new words spawn — about 35, 55, and 80 pixels per second. Pick one from the dropdown above the board; changing it starts a fresh game at that pace.
How do I clear a word?
Just type it — there's no need to press Enter. The moment your input exactly matches a word on screen, it disappears and you score points equal to its length times 10.
What happens if two words on screen look the same?
Typing a word that matches more than one falling word clears whichever one is closest to the bottom — the one about to cost you a life.
How many lives do I get, and does the game get harder?
You start with 3 lives; letting a word reach the bottom costs one, and the game ends at zero. Every 100 points raises your level, which speeds up both the fall rate and how often new words appear.
Can I pause mid-game?
Yes — click the pause button next to the input field. Words stop falling and no new ones spawn until you resume.
Is my best score saved?
"Best" only tracks your highest score while this tab stays open — reloading the page or leaving resets it. Nothing about a game is saved or sent anywhere.
