How the Reaction Time Test works
- Start a test and wait through a random 1.5-to-4-second delay.
- Click as soon as the panel turns green; early clicks restart the round.
- Complete five rounds to see your average and fastest response.
The measurement method
At the exact moment the green state appears, the tool records a high-resolution browser timestamp. Your score is the click timestamp minus that start timestamp, rounded to milliseconds. The final score is the arithmetic mean of five valid attempts.

How does the reaction time test work?
After a random delay, the panel changes from amber to green. The test measures elapsed time between that visual change and your click using the browser performance clock.
Why does the test use five rounds?
A single attempt can vary because of attention or an accidental click. Averaging five rounds provides a steadier snapshot while still showing your fastest result.
Does my device affect the score?
Yes. Display refresh rate, input hardware, browser scheduling, and touchscreen or mouse latency can add delay, so compare results on the same device.
What happens if I click too early?
The round is not counted. Click the panel again to restart the random waiting period for that same round.
Are reaction scores saved?
No. Results remain only in the current page and disappear when it is reloaded.
