How it works

  1. Enter a start time, end time, and break minutes for each day you worked.
  2. Set your overtime threshold and, optionally, your hourly rate.
  3. See daily hours, weekly totals, regular vs. overtime hours, and estimated pay update instantly.

The formula

Daily hours = (End − Start − Break) ÷ 60
Regular = min(Total hours, Threshold) · Overtime = max(0, Total hours − Threshold)
Pay = Regular × Rate + Overtime × Rate × 1.5

FAQ

How is overtime calculated?

Any hours worked in the week beyond your "overtime after" threshold (40 by default) are paid at 1.5× your hourly rate — the standard US federal overtime rule. Adjust the threshold if your workplace or jurisdiction uses a different rule.

Can I leave a day blank?

Yes — a day with no start or end time is simply skipped and counted as 0 hours, so a 5-day or 6-day week works the same as a full 7-day one.

Does it handle an overnight shift?

Yes — if the end time is earlier than the start time (e.g. 22:00 to 06:00), it's treated as crossing midnight and the hours are calculated correctly.

Is my schedule or pay rate saved or uploaded anywhere?

No — everything you enter stays in your browser for this session only. Nothing is saved between visits or sent anywhere.
