How it works
- Pick a speed level — Slow, Medium, or Fast — from the dropdown above the board.
- Click the board, then press an arrow key, a WASD key, or an on-screen arrow to start moving; the snake keeps going in that direction until you steer it elsewhere.
- Guide the snake onto the red square to eat it — each one adds 10 points and grows the snake by one segment.
- Avoid the walls and your own tail. Hitting either ends the run — press New Game (or the reset button) to try again.

FAQ
What do the speed levels change?
Slow, Medium, and Fast set how often the snake moves — about 6, 10, and 15 times a second. Pick one from the dropdown above the board; changing it starts a fresh game at that pace.
How do I control the snake?
Click the board, then use the arrow keys or WASD. On a touchscreen, tap the on-screen arrows below the board instead — both control the same snake.
Does the snake wrap around the edges?
No. Hitting a wall ends the run, same as hitting your own tail — classic rules, no wraparound to the opposite side.
Can I pause mid-game?
Yes — press Space or the pause button in the on-screen controls. The snake stops until you resume; steering it again also resumes automatically.
Is my best score saved?
"Best" only tracks your highest score while this tab stays open — reloading the page or leaving resets it. Nothing about a game is saved or sent anywhere.
