How Football Formation Builder works

- Drag any player marker to fine-tune their position on the pitch.
- Double-click a role label to rename it if you want a different position name than the default.
- Click "Export as PNG" to render the current pitch and player layout to a downloadable image file.
FAQ
How do I rename a player's role label?
Double-click the small label beneath any player marker and type a new role (up to 6 characters, like "CDM" or "RW") — it updates immediately on the pitch and in the exported image.
Does switching formations keep my custom positions?
No — choosing a different formation from the dropdown resets every player to that formation's standard starting layout. Make your final adjustments after picking the formation you want to build on.
What does "Export as PNG" actually produce?
It redraws the pitch, lines, and every player marker onto an off-screen canvas at 3x resolution for a crisp image, then triggers a download of that canvas as a PNG file named after your selected formation — no server involved, the image is generated entirely in your browser.
