Live time versus calendar-day count
The live clock subtracts the current timestamp from the target timestamp and decomposes the remaining seconds. Calendar-day and weekday summaries operate on local date boundaries instead. Those answers can differ around partial days, which is why the end-day option affects the date counts but not the live elapsed time.

Does the countdown use my time zone?
Yes. The date-time input and countdown use the local time zone configured on your device.
What does Count calendar end day do?
It adds one to the displayed calendar-day and eligible-weekday counts when you want the event date itself included. It does not add 24 hours to the live clock.
How are weekdays counted?
Weekdays count Monday through Friday from today’s local calendar date up to the event date. Public holidays are not removed.
Will the countdown keep running in a background tab?
The calculation uses current timestamps, so it catches up correctly when the tab becomes active. Browsers may reduce visual update frequency in background tabs.
Can I save or share the countdown?
This version does not create a saved URL or account record. The selected event remains only in the current page state.
