How it works
- Choose a video and preview it locally.
- Select the target aspect ratio, crop size, and horizontal or vertical position.
- Review the bright crop boundary; the shaded area represents pixels outside the final frame.

How aspect-ratio cropping works
The crop frame keeps width divided by height equal to the selected ratio. A 9:16 frame is tall for reels, while 16:9 is wide for standard video.
Aspect ratio = crop width ÷ crop height
FAQ
Is my video uploaded?
No. The preview uses a temporary browser URL for the file on your device; this frontend does not upload it.
Which aspect ratios are included?
The interface includes square 1:1, landscape 16:9, vertical 9:16, and classic 4:3 presets.
Does cropping change the duration?
No. Cropping changes the visible frame, not the start and end times. Use Video Trimmer when you need to shorten a clip.
Is export available?
This implementation provides the complete frontend cropping workflow and states. Video encoding/export is intentionally not connected.
Does the crop preview change the actual video file?
No — the crop boundary is an on-screen guide for planning the frame. The underlying video file on your device isn't modified in this preview-only workflow.
