How the Seamless Texture Checker works

The method
The checker draws the same source image repeatedly on a canvas so the right-to-left and top-to-bottom joins are visible. Half-tile offset moves those joins toward the center, where abrupt changes are easier to spot.

A preview can reveal visible joins and repetition, but it does not decide whether a texture is suitable for a particular game engine, render, or print workflow.

Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is decoded and drawn in your browser. This tool does not send it to a server.
What does half-tile offset do?
It shifts the repeated image by half a tile so the edges that normally meet at the preview boundaries appear nearer the center for inspection.
Are guide lines included in the download?
No. Guide lines are display-only. The downloaded PNG contains the repeated preview against your chosen background without guide lines.
Does this tool fix a texture seam?
No. It is an inspection and preview tool. Use an image editor or texture workflow to repair a source image, then check it again here.
