How does the auto-detect button work?
It scans the whole photo for the same distinctive red-eye color signature (a red channel that clearly dominates both green and blue) used by a manual click, groups matching pixels into clusters, and corrects each cluster automatically. It is a color-based scan, not AI, so it can miss subtle or partly-obscured red-eye and occasionally needs a manual click afterward.
What does the correction radius control?
How large an area around a click (or an auto-detected spot) gets checked and corrected. A larger radius covers more of a bigger pupil but can also catch nearby skin or eyelash pixels if set too high — start small and increase only if red remains at the edges.
What format can I download?
A PNG file, matching the canvas the photo was corrected on. There is no lossy re-compression step, so the correction itself is not degraded by the download.
