Why do some photos have no GPS?
No satellite fix at the time — indoors, in dense urban areas, or with location services off for the camera app. Photos edited or exported through some tools also lose the data.
Is my location data uploaded?
No. Everything is read in the browser, which matters here more than usual — a set of geotagged photos is a detailed record of where you have been.
Should I remove EXIF before sharing photos?
Usually yes, for anything posted publicly. Geotags on photos taken at home publish your address, and many people are surprised how precise the coordinates are.
