The formula
Every unit is defined by how many kilograms it equals, so any conversion is one multiply and one divide through that shared base unit:
Kilograms = Value × (unit's kilogram factor)
Result = Kilograms ÷ (target unit's kilogram factor)
Example: 70 kg to pounds is 70 ÷ 0.45359237 ≈ 154.32 lb.

Is this a weight converter or a mass converter?
Technically these units (kilograms, pounds, etc.) measure mass, not weight (a force) — but "weight converter" is what most people search for, and on Earth's surface the numbers are what you'd expect from a kitchen or bathroom scale.
How precise are the pound/ounce/stone conversions?
1 lb is defined as exactly 0.45359237 kg by international agreement, and every other imperial unit here (oz, stone, US/UK ton) is derived from that same exact value — not a rounded approximation.
What's the difference between a US ton and a UK ton?
A US ("short") ton is 2,000 lb (907.18474 kg); a UK ("long") ton is 2,240 lb (1,016.0469088 kg). Metric tonnes (1,000 kg) are a third, separate unit — all three are included here.
Does anything I type get sent anywhere?
