The gain calculation
Every audio sample is multiplied by the selected percentage expressed as a decimal. A 150% setting uses a gain factor of 1.5, while 50% uses 0.5.
adjusted sample = original sample x (volume percentage / 100)
Values outside the WAV range are limited to its maximum or minimum level. Lower the percentage if loud passages sound clipped.
