How it works

Timestamping reads the media element's current playback time when
you mark a line, formats it as [HH:MM:SS], and prepends
it to that transcript line — building a navigable, time-coded
transcript as you go.

No. Timestamping happens entirely in your browser — your files are never sent to a server.
How does it know where to place each timestamp?
You mark the current playback position while listening or watching, and each marked point gets matched to the transcript line at your cursor.
What format is the output?
Plain text with a [HH:MM:SS] marker before each line — easy to paste into show notes, captions, or a video editor.
Can I fine-tune a timestamp after setting it?
