How it works
- Enter your annual salary, hours worked per week, and paid weeks per year.
- The tool divides your salary by total annual hours to get your true hourly rate.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly equivalents are shown alongside it.
The formula
Hourly rate = annual salary ÷ (hours per week × paid weeks per year). Daily = hourly × 8; weekly = hourly × hours per week; monthly = annual salary ÷ 12.
FAQ
Why does "paid weeks per year" matter?
If you take unpaid time off, your salary is spread over fewer actual working weeks, which raises your true hourly rate compared to assuming all 52 weeks are worked.
Does this account for taxes?
No — this converts gross annual salary to a gross hourly rate; take-home pay after taxes and deductions will be lower.
How is the daily rate calculated?
Hourly rate × 8, assuming a standard 8-hour workday — adjust manually if your day is a different length.
Is my salary information sent anywhere?
No — the conversion is simple arithmetic that runs entirely in your browser.
