Does this check Google Safe Browsing or a real threat database?
No — a static, browser-only page can't call Google's Safe Browsing API without a server-side key, so this never performs a live reputation lookup. It clearly labels every result as a structural preview, not a real verdict.
What are the reference records?
A small handful of well-known domains (like google.com) with a genuine, hand-verified note — everything else gets the honest structural preview instead.
Where can I get a real Safe Browsing check?
Google's own Transparency Report (transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search) provides a genuine, live lookup against their threat database.
Is the URL I enter sent anywhere?
No — everything, including the structural heuristics, runs locally in your browser.
