How it works
- Set your event name and check-in base URL — a sample event and guest list are pre-filled so you can see a real QR code immediately.
- Select a guest from the list to generate their unique check-in QR code, encoding the event, their ID, and their name.
- Toggle "Check in" as guests arrive, and download any guest's QR code as a PNG to print on a badge or ticket ahead of time.
FAQ
Does this actually track check-ins for a real event?
The guest list and check-in toggle are live in this browser tab for demonstration and small in-person use (e.g. checking names off manually as you scan), but nothing is stored on a server — refreshing the page resets it. For a persisted, multi-device event check-in system, you'd need to pair the generated QR codes with your own backend.
What does the QR code actually encode?
Each guest's QR code encodes a URL built from your check-in base URL, the event name (turned into a URL slug), and that guest's ID and name as query parameters — the same shape a real check-in scanning app would expect to receive and parse.
Can I generate codes for a whole guest list at once?
Add each guest individually with the "+ Add" field, then select each name to view and download their specific QR code — there's no bulk CSV import in this version, so for a large event, generate ahead of time and print each guest's code onto their badge or ticket.
