Can I paste directly from Word, Google Docs, or a webpage?
Yes. When you paste rich text from a formatted source, the tool reads its clipboard HTML and converts it to plain text. You can also paste raw HTML source directly.
What does preserve paragraph and list breaks do?
It keeps line breaks around paragraphs, headings, list items, and other block elements so the result remains readable instead of becoming one long line.
Can I keep URLs from links?
Yes. Enable Keep link URLs to append visible HTTP or HTTPS destinations after their link text. It is off by default for cleaner output.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Does it remove images or embedded formatting like tables?
Images are dropped entirely with no placeholder text. Table rows appear on their own line, but cell content within a row runs together without a separator since only row breaks are preserved.
Does it keep any formatting, such as bold or italics?
No. All markup is removed, including bold, italics, and colors - only the underlying text remains. There is no option to keep basic formatting with this tool.
