Your log is saved in this browser only and never uploaded. Clearing your browser data deletes it, so export a CSV to keep a backup. This tool records weights; it does not judge whether a weight is healthy — ask your vet.
How to track your pet's weight
- Click Add pet and enter a name, then choose kg or lb.
- Enter the date and weight from each weigh-in, with an optional note such as a diet change or vet visit.
- Read the current weight, the change since the last and first entries, and the trend chart. Add a goal weight to see how far away it is.
- Come back any time: your log is saved in this browser. Export a CSV to keep a backup or share it with your vet.
How the numbers are worked out
Each change is measured against an earlier entry, and the weekly average uses the days between your first and latest weigh-in:
change = latest weight − earlier weight % change = change ÷ earlier weight × 100 per week = (latest − first) ÷ (days between them ÷ 7)
Example: a dog that goes from 32.4 kg to 29.6 kg over 8 weeks has changed by −2.8 kg, or −8.64%, which is −0.35 kg per week. Weights are stored in kilograms and converted with 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg, so switching units never changes your data. This tool records and charts weights; it does not say whether a weight is healthy.
FAQ
How do I track my dog's or cat's weight over time?
Add your pet, then log the date and weight at each weigh-in. The tool charts the trend and shows the change since your last entry and since the first one, so gradual gains or losses are easy to see.
What is a healthy weight for my pet?
It depends on breed, age, frame and body condition, so this tool does not give ranges. Ask your vet for a target weight, then enter it as your goal to track progress toward it.
How can I weigh a large dog at home?
Weigh yourself holding your dog, then weigh yourself alone, and subtract. For consistent trends, weigh at a similar time of day and under similar conditions each time.
Can I track more than one pet?
Yes. Use Add pet for each animal and switch between them with the Pet menu. Each pet has its own weights, goal weight and chart.
Where is my pet's weight data stored?
Only in your browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Clearing your browser data deletes the log, so use Export CSV for a backup.
Can I switch between kg and lb?
Yes. Weights are stored in kilograms and shown in either unit, so switching never changes or rounds your saved data.

PetNoter and DuePet are both good, and PetNoter also has age-by-age breed weight tables, which this tool leaves out because healthy ranges vary and are best set by your vet. Choose Online Tool Store when you want a free tracker that works in any browser, keeps your data on your device and can export it.
