Pet Travel Checklist
Pick your travel type (car, flight, international) to generate a tailored packing and paperwork checklist for traveling with a pet.
🔒 This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server.
How it works
- Choose your trip type (domestic or international) and travel mode (air or car).
- The checklist filters to show only the items relevant to that combination — always-relevant basics plus mode-specific and international-only items.
- Check off items as you complete them; the progress bar tracks how much of your prep is done.
FAQ
Is this list official or country-specific?
No — it's a general planning checklist covering commonly required documents and gear (health certificates, microchips, IATA crates). Requirements vary significantly by destination country and airline, so always confirm exact requirements with your destination's official government/agriculture authority and your airline before traveling.
Why do the items change when I switch trip type?
International travel typically requires extra documentation — a signed health certificate, sometimes a rabies antibody titer test done months in advance, and an import permit — that domestic travel doesn't. Switching between air and car travel similarly swaps crate/carrier requirements for the mode you're actually using.
Does checking items save my progress?
Only for this browser session — nothing is uploaded or stored permanently. Print the checklist (button below the list) if you want a copy to keep on hand while you pack, since refreshing the page resets your checkmarks.
