FAQ
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Only if the PDF already contains an OCR text layer. Image-only scans need OCR software first because this tool does not send pages to an external recognition service.
Why can extracted spacing look different?
PDF files store positioned text fragments, not true paragraphs. The readable mode joins fragments with normalized spaces, while line mode shows more of the underlying separation.
Can I extract selected pages?
Yes. Choose Custom range and enter the first and last page before extracting.
Is the document uploaded?
No. PDF.js opens the file and extracts its text entirely in your browser.
