"Scale to fit" resizes each page proportionally so nothing gets distorted, adding margin on whichever side doesn't fill the new page exactly. "Stretch" forces each page to exactly match the new dimensions, which can slightly distort the content if the original and target page proportions differ.
Does this add blank margins?
With "Scale to fit," yes, if the original page's proportions don't exactly match the target size — for example, converting a square page to A4 will leave margin on the top and bottom or the sides.
Will text and images stay sharp?
