How PDF link extraction works
- Select a PDF — optionally choose "Custom range" to only scan specific pages.
- Every link on those pages is read directly from the file and labeled External, Email, or Internal, with the page it's on.
- Copy the list, or download it as a CSV for a spreadsheet.
FAQ
What links can a PDF contain?
Website URLs, email addresses (mailto links), and internal links that jump to another page in the same document.
How are internal links shown, since they have no URL?
As "Internal link to page N" — the tool resolves the link's destination to the actual page number it jumps to, rather than showing nothing or a raw internal reference.
Is the PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read entirely in your browser — it is never uploaded or sent to a server.
Can I extract links from only some pages?
Yes — choose "Custom range" and enter pages and ranges like "1-3, 5". Only links on those pages are listed.
Can I export the list?
Copy the whole list as plain text with one click, or download it as a CSV with Page, Type, and Link columns for a spreadsheet.
