FAQ
How do I set up the hierarchy?
One person per line, as "Name" for someone with no manager (the top of the chart) or "Name: Manager" for everyone else — the manager name must exactly match another line's name.
Can I have more than one top-level person?
Yes — any line without a manager (or with a manager name that doesn't match anyone) becomes its own root, so you can chart multiple teams or a co-CEO structure side by side.
Can I export the chart as an image?
Not yet from this tool directly — for now it's a quick way to sketch and visualize a hierarchy. Take a screenshot if you need to share it as an image.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No — the chart is built entirely in your browser from what you type. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can one person report to two managers?
No — each line supports a single manager ("Name: Manager"). For a dotted-line or matrix reporting structure, list the primary manager here and note the secondary relationship separately.
