How much text belongs on a slide?
Enough to anchor a point, not enough to read aloud. Roughly forty words is the threshold where an audience stops listening and starts reading, which is why dense slides are flagged.
Do speaker notes show to the audience?
No. Lines marked as notes are kept with the slide but rendered separately, so they belong to the presenter view only.
Can I include images and code?
Standard Markdown images and fenced code blocks carry through. Code slides need larger type than you expect — check them at presenting size, not editing size.
