The method
Stitch counts scale by the ratio of your gauge to the pattern's, and stitches and rows scale independently.
adjusted stitches = pattern stitches × (your gauge ÷ pattern gauge)
110 × (24/22) = 120. Row gauge scales separately, which is why a garment can come out the right width and the wrong length.
