FAQ

Does this run in my browser?

Yes. Fiscal Year Calculator works locally in the page with no backend upload or account.

What is the difference between a fiscal year and a calendar year?

A calendar year always runs January to December. A fiscal year is a 12-month period that can start in any month you choose — pick January as the start month here and the two line up exactly; pick any other month and the fiscal year spans two calendar years.

How are the fiscal quarters calculated?

Each quarter is a consecutive 3-month block counted from your chosen fiscal start month, so Q1 begins on the start date and Q4 ends on the last day of the twelfth month — the widget lists the exact start date, end date, and day count for all four.

Can I save the output?

Yes. Use the download control to save a plain-text summary of the current result, including the fiscal year range, day counts, and quarter dates.
