Each frame, the spinner's rotation advances by its current angular velocity, and that velocity is reduced by a fixed percentage every second — the same idea as real friction slowing down a spinning object, just simplified so it's fast to compute in a browser.

Does anything about how I use it get sent anywhere?
No. The whole thing — drawing, physics, everything — runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Why does it slow down at a different rate than a real fidget spinner?
It uses a simplified friction model (a fixed percentage of speed lost per second) rather than modeling real bearing friction and air resistance, so the exact deceleration curve won't match a specific physical spinner — but it behaves the same way: faster flicks spin longer.
Why is it already spinning when the page loads?
It gives itself a small demo flick on load so you can see the physics working right away, instead of a still image. Give it your own flick any time to take over.
What counts toward 'Longest spin this session'?
The duration from when a spin starts (either your flick or a drag-release) until it slows below a small speed threshold and stops. It only tracks the best time for this visit — it resets if you reload the page.
Does it work on a touchscreen?
Yes — drag with a finger the same way you would with a mouse, and the Flick button works with a tap.
Can I change the color of the spinner?
Yes — pick one of four colors above the spinner. It applies immediately, mid-spin if it's already moving.
Is there sound?
There's an optional spin sound — a soft whir that rises in pitch as the spinner speeds up and fades out as it slows. It starts muted (browsers block audio until you interact with the page anyway); click "Sound off" to turn it on.
