Formatted preview
How it works
- Paste a paragraph, list, or table draft that answers a specific question.
- The tool detects whether it reads as a paragraph, list, or table, and measures the first paragraph's word count.
- Each check (length, format, item count, question framing) is scored and flagged with a plain-language reason.
- A formatted preview shows roughly how the content would render if picked up as an answer box.
FAQ
Why does the tool care about a 40-60 word answer?
Google's paragraph-style featured snippets are typically pulled as a short excerpt of roughly 40-60 words. Answers shorter than that often feel incomplete, and much longer answers usually get truncated mid-sentence, so that range gives you the best odds of a clean pull.
Does formatting my content as a list guarantee a snippet?
No tool can guarantee a featured snippet — Google chooses the source and format algorithmically based on the query. What formatting a clear list or table does is make your content a strong candidate when the query itself implies a list or comparison.
What is the "question framing" check looking for?
It checks whether your first line reads like a direct answer to a question (starting with What, How, Why, etc., or containing a question mark somewhere in the content), since many snippet-triggering searches are phrased as questions and pages that mirror that phrasing tend to match better.
Is my content uploaded anywhere?
No — everything runs as plain JavaScript in your browser tab. Nothing you paste is sent to a server.
How we compare
| Feature | Online Tool Store | Rank tracking suites | Manual word count |

| No account or crawl needed | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Instant format + length heuristics | ✓ | Partial | ✗ |
| Live formatted preview | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ |
This won't tell you whether you'll actually win a featured snippet — no tool can, since that's Google's call — but it catches the common formatting mistakes (too long, no list structure, no question framing) before you publish.
