How the conversion works
Unicode reserves whole blocks of "Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols" — separate codepoints for a bold "A", an italic "A", a script "A", and so on. Converting your text swaps each plain letter for its look-alike codepoint in the chosen block, which is why the result still copies and pastes as plain text, no image or custom font required.
FAQ
Is this a real font, or is it doing something else?
It's not a font at all — each style is a different set of Unicode characters (like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols) that happen to look bold, italic, or script-like. That's exactly why they paste as styled text into places, like bios, that don't normally support custom fonts.
Why does it work on Instagram/Twitter/Discord but sometimes looks broken elsewhere?
Every platform renders whatever Unicode characters you paste using its own font, and not every font includes glyphs for every Unicode block — so a style that looks perfect on one app may show as boxes (□) on an older device or a font with limited coverage.
Can search engines or screen readers read this text normally?
No — screen readers and search indexing generally treat these as different characters, not as styled "A" through "Z", so meaning can be lost. Use it for decorative text (bios, headers, social posts), not for text that needs to stay fully accessible.
Do spaces and punctuation get converted too?
No — only letters A–Z and digits 0–9 are mapped. Spaces, punctuation, and emoji pass through unchanged.
