How to make a conspiracy board online
- Give your board a title. Click the plus button (Add evidence) to create a card with a title, notes and an optional photo.
- Drag cards to arrange your clues. Drag the board background to pan, scroll to zoom, or use Fit to bring all cards into view.
- Click the chain button (Link evidence), then select two cards to connect them with red string.
- Select a card to change its color, edit, duplicate or delete it. Use Undo and Redo to revise your layout.
- Open More actions and choose Export as PNG for a shareable image, or Export board for an editable JSON backup. Use Import board to open that JSON file later.
Example: build a fictional detective board
Start with the sample cookie mystery, or create a new board for a story. Add three cards: an empty cookie jar, crumbs near the sofa, and a witness who heard a noise. Place your main theory in the center and connect the clues to it. Use one card color for observations and another for guesses so the difference remains visible.
Use this red-string board for mystery plots, tabletop game clues, character relationships or a conspiracy-board meme. The connections show your chosen relationships; they do not establish that a theory is true.

Is this conspiracy board maker free?
Yes. You can add cards and photos, connect clues, and export your board without creating an account.
Can I create a detective or evidence board with photos?
Yes. Click Add evidence and choose an image along with a title and notes. Arrange the cards, link them with red string, and color-code groups. It is a visual planning tool for fictional cases and creative projects.
How do I connect two cards with red string?
Click the chain button labeled Link evidence, then click the first and second cards. The tool creates a connection between them. You can reposition the cards afterward.
How do I download a conspiracy board meme?
Open More actions and select Export as PNG. This creates an image of your board that you can share or print. Keep a JSON export as well if you want to edit the individual cards later.
What is the difference between PNG and JSON export?
PNG is a finished image. JSON is the editable board file: use Export board to save it and Import board to restore it. A PNG cannot be imported as an editable board, although you can add an image to a card.
Will my board still be here when I return?
The board saves automatically in this browser when local storage is available. Check the save status while you work. Clearing site data, using a different browser profile, or storage restrictions can prevent you from recovering it, so export a JSON backup for work you want to keep.
Can I move a board to another device or collaborate live?
Export the board as JSON, transfer the file, and import it in the other browser. There is no account-based cloud sync or live collaboration; browser autosave does not transfer between devices.
How do I find cards that have moved off screen?
Use Fit to bring all cards into view, or drag the background to pan. Reset view restores the view without deleting the board. New board creates a new board, so export your current work first.
