How the color wheel tool works

The method
Your HEX color is converted to HSL (hue, saturation, lightness). The chosen scheme rotates the hue by a fixed offset (180° for complementary, 120° for triadic, 30° for analogous) while keeping saturation and lightness constant, then converts each resulting hue back to HEX.
