How the Character Consistency Checker works
- Write a short sheet for each character — the facts you would forget, not their biography.
- Run the check over the draft and read the contradictions with chapter references.
- Decide which version is canon, fix the other, and update the sheet so it stays the reference.
FAQ
Why do these errors happen at all?
Because a novel is written over months and revised out of order. Details established early are re-invented later, and the writer's memory of the current draft is not the same as the draft.
Can it catch plot contradictions?
No. It matches recorded facts against the text. Timeline logic, motivation, and whether a scene contradicts an earlier one still need a human read.
Is my manuscript uploaded?
No. The text is processed in the page and nothing is stored.
