How the Affidavit Template Builder works

FAQ
Is a generated affidavit legally valid?
Not as generated. An affidavit takes effect when sworn or affirmed before a person authorised in that jurisdiction — a commissioner for oaths, a notary, or an equivalent. The document is a draft until then.
What belongs in the numbered paragraphs?
Facts within the deponent's own knowledge, one per paragraph, in plain chronological language. Opinion, argument and hearsay generally do not belong, and including them invites the whole document to be challenged.
Does the format vary by country?
Considerably. The heading, the wording of the statement of truth, the jurat, and who may administer the oath all differ by jurisdiction, and some places use a statement of truth instead of a sworn affidavit entirely.
